Behind it, a group of friends who love to travel and explore the world, always on the catch for culinary delights. Inspired by our journeys, we created a mission to bring natural, plant-based ingredients and international flavors to the next level in Vienn.

​With our new concept SALZI we intend to create a new wave neighborhood joint for people inside and outside of the II. district. Where people can wake up their body, mind and soul with healthy, vegetable-heavy comfort food, homemade ferments, specialty coffee, matcha, other tea based drinks and natural wines.Creating an uplifting ambience for everyone who is looking for a daily pinch, as a wake up call to find beauty in things and the beauty of living in every moment.

Our mission is to redefine what coffee and tea can be, offering a wide variety of drinks.

Passionate about speciality coffee, we collaborated with Röast to craft the most flavorful roasts and blends. Our tea and matcha selection includes rare and ethically sourced teas from around the world, all exceeding fair trade standards.

Beyond our coffee and tea based drinks, enjoy our homemade healthy juices, kombucha and ferments, along with a curated selection of natural wines, both non-alcoholic and regular. Pair them with our ever-changing small plate menu for a wholesome veggie experience in Vienna.

At SALZI, we are committed to providing a unique food experience in Vienna, focusing on healthy, high-quality ingredients in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Our vibrant, seasonal menu features mostly plant-based, vegan plates alongside select dishes with animal products, all crafted with organic ingredients from local producers. Every dish is designed to be both delicious and resource-conscious.
We serve breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner, you choose whether to enjoy your meal on-site or take it away for a boost during your workday or pair it with a beautiful sunset along the Danube Canal.

Q
Where are you located?
You’ll find us serving specialty coffee and healthy comfort food in the II. District of Vienna, in the heart of Karmeliterviertel, in between Donaukanal and Karmeliter Markt. If you get lost, just follow the scent of freshly ground roasted coffee and herbs.
Do you have vegan and gluten-free options?
We’ve got plenty of plant-based, vegan, gluten and sugar free goodies.
Is your menu available for takeaway?
Yes! From sandwiches and chia puddings to healthy salad bowls, we’ve got everything you need to fuel your day. Check the fridge near the bar for freshly packed snacks, or we’ll happily pack up anything from the menu. If you’ve got the time, we’d love to have you stay in our cozy space, but good food also makes the perfect office lunch or a picnic by the Danube Canal.
Can I work/study at SALZI?
Of course! A cozy environment always helps to get things done and specialty coffee/matcha is a must. We’ve also got plenty of healthy sweet treats to keep your brain fueled. Whether it’s breakfast, brunch, lunch, or just your favorite drink, we’ve got you covered while you focus.
Are you child-friendly?
Absolutely! SALZI is for all ages. We’ve got yummy treats and healthy, kid-friendly food and drinks, plus there’s always plenty to discover, let the little ones explore the place.
Is SALZI pet-friendly?
Very much! We can’t wait to meet your furry friend. There’s usually a water bowl around, and if you can’t spot it or need a fresh one, just let us know.
